Check-in

All passengers prior to boarding should be registered without fail. After an announcement on the beginning of registration you must receive a boarding pass, check-in and surrender your baggage.

Registration of tickets and baggage check-in of the passengers on the domestic and international flights departing from the International airport Zhukovsky is carried out on the ground floor of the passenger terminal.

Time of beginning of registration is established by airlines and brought to passenger’s knowledge at the moment of air ticket acquisition, but not later than two hours prior to a flight departure time

Flight check-in finishes 40 minutes prior to a flight departure time.

The passengers who have been late to a registration are not allowed to flight.

For the purpose of economy of your time we recommend to be registered by means of Web-services (Internet sites, mobile applications) if the airline renders this service.

Please note,that for each registration desk is reserved certain flight of airline. Numbers of registration desks for your flight you can see on theонлайн табло of our website or on information screens in the general registration area of the passenger terminal.

For service of passengers of business and economy classes at the airport are provided separate registration desks.

On the registration desk you shall show a ticket and a passport. If you have an electronic ticket, you can show only a passport. On the registration desk you shall show all baggage which you plan for transportation on the aircraft, irrespective of whether it will be transported in a cabin or in a baggage compartment.

At purchasing a flight ticket you shall learn from the airline what restrictions and rules are applicable during flight. At different airlines the conditions, in particular, concerning baggage may differ. Also there is a set of standard rules.

More detailed standard rules of transportation of a baggage and cabin baggage you can find on our website in section «Baggage». After registration and surrender of baggage you will receive a boarding pass and baggage labels.


In the presence of special conditions of transportation, requirements of special service at the airport, we ask you beforehand at booking, but not less than 24 hours prior to departure of your flight; inform the airline, for timely and qualitative providing of services.

All passengers travelling on the international flights shall pass customs and border control.

Declaring of the goods shall be carried out at a customs line – prior to registration, border control and preflight inspection.

Customs registration and customs control of the goods moved across the border of the Russian Federation, is made by officials of customs body according to the legislation of the Russian Federation applicable to customs affairs.

The applicable customs rules you can learn at customs information desks prior to customs control.

Areas of preflight inspection, customs and passport control, departure gates are located on the second floor of the passenger terminal.

Considering that each country establishes own passport and visa rules of entrance and exit, you shall beforehand obtain official information with regard to the requirements imposed on the travel papers (passports, visas) from the consulate of the country of your destination.

It is strongly recommended to you at purchasing or confirmation of booking of air ticket confirmation to acquaint with the airline rules of transportations, information on your flight, rules of baggage transportation and the registration procedure. You can find the necessary information on an airline website.

Safety and Security

The primary goal of the Aviation Security Service (ASS) of the airport Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky) is a providing, in cooperation with other departments and services of the airport, protection of activity of the airport against unlawful interference according to standards, rules and procedures of aviation security.

Measures of aviation security include:

  • Protection of airport facilities inside and outside the administered territory;
  • Special control and inspection of passengers, baggage, cabin baggage, aircrafts, an airline meal, mail and cargoes;
  • Personal protection of aircrafts;
  • Delivery of special tools and weapon, deposited by the passengers for aircraft flight.

At the International airport Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky) for reasons of your personal safety is provided a number of mandatory procedures of aviation security.

At entrances in an air-terminal complex of the airport Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky) are equipped points of inspection. Persons entering into air-terminal complex as well as their belongings are subject to inspection using the technical means of inspection.

Prior to boarding the aircraft each passenger, their baggage and cabin baggage are subject to mandatory preflight inspection. The passenger, who has refused to pass preflight inspection and to show its belongings for inspection, to flight is not allowed.

Inspection at the airport is carried out in special premises (points of inspection), equipped with stationary inspection means and video surveillance systems.

Inspection is carried out at all internal, international and transfer flights.

During the preflight inspection you shall present a boarding pass and a personal identification document of the passenger.

Personal identification documents of a passenger are:

  • RF citizen passport;
  • International passport of the Russian Federation, regular international passport, diplomatic passport, service passport;
  • National passport of foreign citizen;
  • RF residence permit for persons without citizenship;
  • Birth certificate for citizens of the Russian Federation who has not reached the age of 14 years;
  • Seafarer’s passport (certificate of identification of the seaman) in case of work-related journey;
  • Temporary identification card of RF citizen;
  • Certificate on returning into the country which citizen is the passenger;
  • Identification card of the officer, warrant officer of RF or CIS countries, except Georgia;
  • Military service card of military servant of the Russian Federations doing military service by conscription or under contract, with a mark about military service;
  • Travel document of persons without citizenship, refugees;
  • International admission of the United Nations for office travels;
  • Certificate of the deputy of the State Duma and The Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (at internal transportations);
  • Certificate of deinstitutionalization for the persons released from places of confinement;
  • Certificate issued to convicted person who has obtained a permit to long-term or short-term departure beyond the places of confinement.
LIST OF KEY DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES AND ITEMS FORBIDDEN (ALLOWED SUBJECT TO REQUIRED TERMS) TO TRANSPORTATION ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT BY THE CREWMEN AND PASSENGERS IN THE REGISTERED BAGGAGE AND BELONGINGS OF PASSENGERS

Appendix No.1 to Rules of carrying out preflight and postflight inspections
(Approved by the Order of Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated July, 25th, 2007 No.104):

It is forbidden to transport on board the aircraft by the crewmen and passengers in the registered baggage and belongings of passengers, following dangerous substances and items:
  1. Explosive substances and items containing explosives, firing agents:
    • All gunpowder, in any packing and in any quantity;
    • Ball cartridges (including small-caliber);
    • Gas weapon cartridges;
    • Hunting capsules (percussion caps);
    • Pyrotechnic devices: signal and light flares, signal cartridges, landing sticks, torch cartridges (sticks), demolition matches, Bengal fires, railway petards;
    • Trotyl, dynamite, trilite, ammonal and other explosives;
    • Caps-detonators, electrical detonators, electrical igniters, detonating chord and igniting fuse etc.;
  2. Compressed and liquefied gases:
    • Gases for domestic use (butane-propane) and other gases;
    • gas spays containing nerve gas or tear gas etc.;
  3. Inflammable liquids:
    • Acetone;
    • Petrol;
    • Samples of inflammable oil products;
    • Methanol;
    • Methyl acetate (methyl ether);
    • Carbon sulphur;
    • Aethers;
    • Ethyl cellulose;
  4. Flammable solid substances:
    • Substances exposed to spontaneous ignition;
    • Substances educing inflammable gases at interaction with water:
    • Potassium, sodium, calcium metal and their alloys, calcium phosphide etc.;
    • Phosphorus white, yellow and red and all other substances falling under the category of flammable solid substances;
  5. Oxidation substances and organic peroxides:
    • Colloidal cellulose nitrate in granules or flakes, dry or damp, containing not less 25% of water or solvent;
    • Colloidal cellulose nitrate in pieces, damp, containing not less 25% of spirit;
    • Cellulose nitrate dry or damp, containing not less 30% of solvent or 20 % of water etc.;
  6. Toxic substances;
  7. Radioactive materials;
  8. Caustic and corrosive substances:
    • Strong mineral acids: hydrochloric, sulfuric, nitric and others;
    • Hydrofluoric (fluorid) acid and other strong acids and corrosive substances;
  9. Poisonous and toxic substances:
    • Any poisonous strong and toxic substances in liquid or solid state, packed into any container;
    • Brucine;
    • Nicotine;
    • Strychnine;
    • Tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol;
    • Antifreeze;
    • Brake fluid;
    • Ethylene glycol;
    • Mercury;
    • All salts of hydrocianic acid and cyanic preparations;
    • Cyclone, black cyanide, arsenous anhydride etc.;
    • Other dangerous substances, items and cargoes which can be used as the attack tool on passengers, aircraft crew, as well as constituting a threat of flight of the aircraft;
  10. Weapon:
    • Pistols, revolvers, rifles, carbines and other firing, gas, pneumatic arms, electroshock devices, cutlasses, stylets, troopers’ knife-bayonets, except for cases and in order established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Detailed list of dangerous substances and items forbidden to transportation on board the aircraft by crewmen and passengers is contained in Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284 AN/905 ICAO).

It is allowed to transport on board the aircraft by crewmen and passengers subject to observance of required conditions the following items and substances:

Jackknife without fixing device, travel penknife with length of an edge less than 60 mm.

In the registered baggage in cargo and luggage compartments of the aircraft with the isolated access of passengers to the baggage during flight:

crossbows, fish guns, sabers, swords, hatchets, yataghans, backswords, falchions, slashers, bayonets, daggers, hunting knives, switchblade knives, knives with locks, weapon simulators of any kind;

Utility knives (scissors) with a length of blade (razor) above 60 mm;

Alcohol drinks with alcohol content by volume more than 24% but no more than 70% in containers with a capacity no more than 5 liters, intended to retail, – no more than 5 liters per one passenger;

Liquids and alcohol drinks with the alcohol content by volume no more than 24%;

Aerosols, intended for use in sport or utility purposes, outflow valves of which containers are protected by caps from spontaneous release of contents, in containers with a capacity no more than 0,5 kg or 500 ml – no more than 2 kg or 2 l per one passenger;

In the belongings in possession of passengers:

medical thermometer – one per a passenger;

mercury blood pressure monitor in a standard case – one per a passenger;

mercury barometer or manometer packed in a tight container and sealed up by a seal of the sender;

Disposable lighters – one per a passenger;

dry ice for cooling of perishable food – no more than 2 kg per one passenger;

3% hydrogen peroxide – no more than 100 ml per one passenger;

Liquids, gels and aerosols classified as harmless:

Corkscrews;

Hypodermic needles (in the absence of medical feasibility);

Knitting needles;

Scissors with length of a blade less than 60 mm;

Traveling with Kids

For comfortable waiting of flight departure to the passengers with children at the International airport Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky) is organized the Mother and child room, located on second floor of the passenger terminal.

There is parents can warm up meal for kids, nourish and swaddle the child.

Room is intended for children under 7 years accompanied by one adult. Before visiting of a room you need to receive a medical certificate for the child in a medical station of the terminal which is located on the terminal ground floor.

The documents required for applying of the passenger to Mother and child room:

  • Air ticket or a boarding pass;
  • Passport;
  • Birth certificate/passport of the child;
  • Prenatal record (for pregnant women);
  • Certificate on the contacts, issued by the pediatrician in a residence no more than 3 days prior to a departure or after examination of children by medical personnel on duty directly in a Mother and child room.

Visiting of the Mother and child room with the baggage and animals is not allowed.

Swaddling rooms are available on all floors of the terminal. On information signage in the terminal and on the scheme of airport they are designated by corresponding signs

If you travel with children, please, beforehand arrive to the airport for passage of registration procedure to give us an opportunity to keep for you the nearby places.

Our airport gives you opportunity to use a baby trolley until entrance into aircraft and to receive a baby trolley on exit from the aircraft. If you wish to use this service, please inform to this effect an officer at registration.

* Please note that at some airports providing of this service is impossible according to airport safety requirements.

Special Needs

For providing of the special assistance you need to apply to your airline.

According to Federal Aviation Regulations «Common rules for air service of passengers, baggage, cargo and maintenance requirement of passengers, exporter and receiver» the passenger shall agree with airline transportation of*:

  • Seriously ill passenger;
  • Bedridden patient;
  • Unaccompanied aurally challenged passenger;
  • Visually challenged passenger with a seeing-eye dog;
  • Unaccompanied aurally and/or visually challenged passenger who will be transported under airline supervision;
  • Passenger with reduced mobility at using air transport and/or whose physical condition demands special attention at service (passenger with the reduced mobility).

*The airline is entitled to deny from transportation if the physical condition of the passenger threatens safety of flight or creates discomfort. More detailed information you can learn from your airline.

The free services provided by the airport for the handicapped passengers:

  • A meeting of the passenger at a vehicle parking place;
  • Accompaniment and assistance at movement at the airport, registration on flight and baggage check-in;
  • Providing of an invalid wheelchair for movement within the terminal and for boarding the aircraft;
  • Delivery aboard the aircraft, including providing of the ambulant elevator or ambulance car;
  • Possibility to use video communication with city dispatcher service for handicapped persons, employees of which will provide a help information and where necessary will carry out real-time a sign language interpretation;
  • Possibility to use the panel with an audio loop (to specify location in the terminal)
  • Where necessary, accompaniment by the qualified medical worker is performed;
  • Upon the arrival in the International airport Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky) you will be met by our officers and they will assist at landing from an aircraft, as well as will help to receive baggage and where necessary will accompany you to a vehicle parking place.

Important! At booking and purchasing of air ticket you shall necessarily specify, what special services and assistance be required to you at the airport and during flight. It is necessary to inform airlines on necessity of these services within the time limits set by the airline’s regulations.

Travel with a seeing-eye dog

Please, readrules and guidelines of transportation of animals (FAR 82 and IATA rules), and make sure that you have all necessary documents.

Travel on a powered wheelchair

You must take into account the following IATA rules of transportation of dangerous cargoes:

  • The powered wheelchair is deposited into baggage, accumulator is disconnected at registration;
  • Wet batteries are disconnected, packed and deposited into the baggage.

Terminals of emergency call

If you need help on arrival at the airport you can communicate us. Terminals of emergency call for handicapped passengers (desk Assistance) are located near the air terminal entrances.

Medical aid

If you need special medical aid you can apply to a first-aid post which is located on the ground floor of terminal. The first-aid post is open during terminal working hours.

Contraindications to transportation of patients on board of the passenger airliners of civil aircraft:

According to Appendix to the Instruction on organization and performance of flights by planes (helicopters) of civil aviation for rendering medical aid for people. It is approved by the Directive of the deputy Minister of civil aviation dated 10/21/81, it is forbidden transportation by an air transport of the patients, suffering from following diseases:

  • Ferbile and highly contagious diseases.
  • Tetanus.
  • Poliomyelitis (bulbar form with respiration disturbance).
  • Laryngostenosis with respiration disturbance.
  • Acute peritonitis.
  • Gaseous gangrene.
  • Depressed cases.
  • Acute craniocerebral injuries and spinal traumas during entire period of clinician semiology.
  • Precomatose, comatose state in the setting of diabetes mellitus.
  • Severe sepsis.
  • Uraemia.
  • The Sharp stenocardia with signs of a preceding infarction condition.
  • The Hypertensive crisis.
  • Acute heart beat arrhythmia.
  • Cardiovascular diseases into decompesation (stage 3).
  • Postinfarct and postapoplectic state during 5-6 months.
  • Acute leukaemia and Werlhof disease.
  • Purulent meningitis.
  • Labyrinthitis and labyrinthine vertigo in the exacerbation phase.
  • Oncoma of posterior cranial fossa.
  • Active tuberculosis of the lungs with full-blown pulmonary heart diseases.
  • Primary artificial and spontaneous pneumothorax.
  • Glaucoma in the subcompensation and decompensation phase, retinal detachment.
  • Eclampsia.
  • Mental patients dangerous to himself and others.
  • Advanced oncologic patients with the events of disturbance of (deep) circulation and respiration (exudative pleuritic with mediastinal displacement).

Note

Transportation of patients with the specified diseases is permitted on passenger aircraft of CA by way of exception under vital indications, except sections 1, 21, 25.

The enterprises and the persons preparing the patient to transportation by aircraft should procure him/her with accompanying medical personnel and medicines.

Unaccompanied Minors

Parents of the children at the ages from 5 to 12 years going to a flight without adults, shall mandatory in advance apply to the airline to learn rules of such flight and to execute all documents required for such travel. At the request of parents, adoptive fathers, guardians or trustees, to the children under 16 years may be provided with an accompaniment.

Children under 5 years allowed to flight only accompanied by adult full age passengers.

Please, inform airlines at booking of transportation that your child travels independently.

To such passengers, airlines render service of accompaniment of children, they assume a full responsibility for the child during period of its flight from one airport to another.

Persons seeing off the child should remain at the airport of departure till the moment of a departure of flight.

Upon entrance into a terminal building, a minor passenger together with seeing off person (parent or guardian) shall apply to check-in desk for filling of statement for providing of child accompaniment service and registration procedure.

At registration is required to show following documents:

  • Birth certificate (for flight along the Russian Federation);
  • International passport and documents required for flight into the country of destination (visa, etc. in case of international flights);
  • Identification document of seeing off person;
  • Notarized consent of one parent, guardian, adoptive parent or trustee, for departure, specifying the term of departure and the state (states), which the child intends to visit (provided that second parent has not made an application on non-consent for departure of the minor from the Russian Federation, issued in an order provided by the applicable legislation of the Russian Federation). (According to Article 20 of the Federal act of the Russian Federation «Concerning the Procedure for Exit from the Russian Federation and Entry into the Russian Federation» dated 8/15/1996 No. 114-FZ)*;
  • Filled forms of application and requests containing required information (names, addresses, phones) of seeing off and meeting parties;
  • МСО, confirming payment of accompanying service (unless otherwise is provided by airline rules).

Please note that the Legislation of the states planned for visit by minor, may provide some additional requirements to execution of documents for entry.

Upon an arrival the child is passed by the steward to the officer of ground service. Meeting persons, specified by you in request, should arrive at the airport up the time of arrival of flight and have in possession a valid identification document with a photo.

The child is passed to a meeting person upon presentation of an identification document.

Business Lounge

Business lounge is located on the second floor of an air-terminal complex Ramenskoye (Zhukovsky). Entrance in hall is located opposite to the lift.

To get to a hall it is possible after passage of a part of preflight formalities: flight registration and baggage check-in.

Fresh press, wireless Internet, satellite TV, a snack-bar at any time at passengers disposal. Service cost 4 000 ₽/4 hours

For negotiation or more private waiting of flight you can use a business zone (room of negotiations).

The additional services rendered by a hall of enhanced comfort include a fast check of aviation security (Fast Track) as well as an individual transfer of passengers to a board of an aircraft at a departure and from a board after an arrival, by prior request.

Baggage

Free baggage allowance – weight, size and quantity of pieces – depends on a route of a flight and a class of passenger service and is determined by airline rules. Information on baggage allowance rules can be found on an airline website, at ticket offices of a carrier or by phones, specified on an airline website.

Information concerning free baggage allowance, usually, contained in the corresponding column of the air ticket or displayed at booking.

From baggage is required to remove old labels and barcodes from preceding flights. Long straps should be removed, and handles tied together.

At the airport you can use a baggage packing service.

Wrapping

We propose prior to surrendering of your belongings into a baggage to pack them into a special stretch-film. It will protect your baggage from unauthorized opening and external injuries will help to keep appearance of suitcases, boxes and bags.

Availability of cash and cashless payment;

Location: ground floor of the passenger terminal.

Cost of packing of one baggage piece: 500 rubles.

Business hours: 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Baggage Storage

Surrendered baggage is subject to check and control (inspection) using x-ray devices (other technical means) or to manual inspection. Weight of one baggage piece cannot exceed 30 kg.

For custody accepted:
  • Items in any packing providing their safety, excluding a free access to contents, a damage and contamination of belongings of other customers and the baggage locker equipment.
  • Glass and other fragile items (accepted only in hard packing with an inscription “glass – handle with care”).
  • Foodstuff (are accepted for custody only in packing, for their natural spoilage the administration shall not be liable).
For custody are not accepted:
  • Explosive, fire hazardous, inflammable
  • Substances with an acrid odor; weapon; animals; documents, money, jewelry.
Baggage claim:

At claiming of your belongings from a baggage locker you must show a token and give your surname. In case of loss of token by the customer, belongings will be returned to him on the basis of his application upon presentation of documents and proofs of ownership of such items.

Dispensing of belongings from a baggage locker is made out of turn.

Upon reception of belongings from a baggage locker in time using the right to the further storage is terminated. For the purpose of surrender of belongings again is required a repeated check-in.

The belongings which have not been received by the owner within 30 days from the date of depositing for custody, are considered not claimed and are realized according to established procedure (Art. 899 of CC of the Russian Federation, cl. 2).

Cost of services.
  • Fee from the passenger (consumer) is charged according to the applicable price-list, for one calendar day (from 00:00 till 23:59), irrespective of time of surrender of cabin baggage into baggage locker.
  • Cost of storage of a baggage piece, which size does not exceed in aggregate of two dimensions 150х150sm and does not exceed in one dimension 300sm, is equal to 400 (four hundred) rubles per one calendar day.
  • Cost of storage of a baggage piece, which size exceeds in aggregate of two dimensions 150х150sm or exceeds in one dimension 300sm, is equal to 1000 (one thousand) rubles per one calendar day.
  • Cost of storage of clothes is equal to 100 (one hundred) rubles for one item per one calendar days. Surrendered for custody clothes are stored in individual covers (wardrobe trunks).
  • Payment for storage is made for the first calendar day; surcharge for each following day is made at returning of baggage.
  • Cabin baggage is accepted for storage only with the declared value (Art. 923 of CC of the Russian Federation, cl. 7.1.12 RBP-85).
  • Any tied thing (leash) is considered a separate piece.
  • Separate piece is considered any things protruded more than 20 sm beyond the dimensions of baggage in which the given thing is placed.
  • New accepting of belongings after their temporary return is paid again.
  • Cart for transportation of baggage is considered a separate piece unless the manufacturer has provided an one-piece design of a cart and a baggage.

For technical reasons, baggage room is temporarily out of order. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Baggage Norms and Conditions

Excess or oversized baggage is subject to special check-in. You shall in advance apply to the airline and specify conditions of transportation of such baggage.

It is not recommended for the passenger to put in the registered baggage fragile and perishable items, as well as money, jewelry, documents and other similar items.

In case of finding out of dangerous substances and items in the baggage of the passenger, for the manufacturing, carrying and storage of which is provided a criminal liability (weapon, ammunition, explosives, firing agents, explosive devices, narcotic, poisonous, poisoning, radioactive substances, etc.), such passenger is not allowed to flight and together with materials (act and withdrawn substances and items) is transferred to internal affairs bodies in order for a making decision on prosecution.

According to the document №8973 of ICAO guidelines:

It is forbidden to transport in the cabin baggage:
  • Liquids and gels (in containers with a capacity more than 100 ml);
  • Weapon of any type and weapon simulators;
  • Sharp items;
  • Tools with percussive and crushing action;
  • Working tools;
  • Magnetic materials;
  • Devices of shock effect;
  • Radioactive substances;
  • Poisonous and toxic substances;
  • Compressed and liquefied gases;
  • Inflammable substances;
  • Flammable solid substances;
  • Corrosive and caustic substances;
  • Explosive substances and items containing explosives;
  • Items with a mark of dangerous cargo on a packing.
It is forbidden to transport in the baggage:
  • Magnetic materials;
  • Devices of shock effect;
  • Radioactive substances;
  • Poisonous and toxic substances;
  • Compressed and liquefied gases;
  • Inflammable substances;
  • Flammable solid substances;
  • Corrosive and caustic substances;
  • Explosive substances and items containing explosives;
  • Items with a mark of dangerous cargo on a packing.

Excess baggage

The airline establishes the baggage weight, which passenger can take free of charge. If the weight of baggage exceeds a standard it shall be regarded as “excess baggage”, an excessive weight is subject to payment at the rates established by airline.

At a full load of the aircraft and at significant excess of weight of your baggage, its transportation may be denied.

Payment for an excess baggage is carried out in cash desks for sale air- and railway tickets located on the ground floor of the terminal.

Oversized baggage

The airline establishes the requirements to sizes of the baggage allowed to transportation. If the baggage does not comply with the specified restrictions, it shall be regarded as oversized and is subject to separate check-in. Please enquire the airline about a possibility of transportation of your oversized baggage in advance.

You shall check-in your oversized baggage at a check-in desk whereupon carry off it to a desk of oversized luggage (desk №18).

If the weight of your baggage exceeds a free baggage allowance, you must pay a difference at the airline tariff.

Transportation of oversized baggage is paid at its actual weight.

Properly sized baggage is not:

  • Rolling items: tubes, balls, round bags;
  • Bags with long, freely dangling belts;
  • Soft or unsteady items (e.g. plastic packages);
  • Fragile items: electronic equipment, glass; animals;
  • Metal carriers for bags.

Regarding to damage, missing of a part of contents or loss of baggage, please apply to the baggage tracing department.

Cabin baggage

The limit of transportation of a cabin baggage – weight, size and quantity of places – depends on rules of airline and on a class of service of the passenger and is determined by airline rules.

The information on rules of transportation of a cabin baggage you can find on a website of airline, at ticket offices of a carrier or by phones, specified on a website of airline.

You need no to pack your cabin baggage. You can be asked to show its contents during mandatory preflight inspection.

It is impossible to shuffle anything from a cabin baggage after its surrender.

According to Rules of preflight and postflight inspections, approved by Directive of the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation dated July, 25th, 2007 No. 104, to transportation on board the aircraft are allowed liquids, gelatinous substances and aerosols in containers with the capacity no more than 100 ml. Total capacity of containers allowed to transportation, should not exceed one liter per one passenger.

Containers transported in the cabin baggage should be packed into a transparent package. Liquids bought by you in duty free shops, it is authorized to take aboard the aircraft also sealed in a transparent package.

Baggage Enquiries

If you have not received the baggage or have found out a damage of baggage, prior to leaving of arrival zone you shall address in «Lost and found» room. Officer Service will assist to fill the special form of the commercial certificate, confirming the fact of causing of damage.


According to the legislation of the Russian Federation and the international regulation concerning the international carriage by air transport, responsibility for disturbances during the transportation rests with the airline.

Under the written application of the passenger filled on the basis of the transportation document, the carrier shall immediately take measures to search of the registered baggage:

  • Directs a request to the airport of departure on presence of baggage;
  • Directs the requests to the airports where the baggage could be delivered by mistake;
  • Directs a request on resending of baggage in case of its finding.

If the registered baggage was not found within twenty one days from the moment of submission of an application, passenger is entitled to demand an indemnification for lost of baggage. If the registered baggage was found, the carrier shall notify its owner and deliver belongings to the airport and at the address specified by the passenger without an additional payment.

In case of finding out of damage of baggage after leaving the arrival lounge, you shall in writing not later than in 7 days from the moment of arrival in airport of destination to direct to airline the claim for damage compensation. You can learn the additional information from the airline.

Claims are accepted by airline in writing accompanied by originals or notarized copies of the documents confirming: conclusion of the air transportation contract (ticket), property irregularity report (PIR), size of caused damage (fiscal documents).

To receive the resent, unclaimed and forgotten baggage you can in rooms of unclaimed baggage of the passenger terminal.

Travelling with Pets

Transportation of animals and birds is performed:

  • Under the preliminary agreement with the airline, by flight which you plan to carry out flight;
  • In a case of international flight – with the permission of the arrival or transit country (information can be learned from consulate of the country of destination).

Possibility and conditions of transportation of animals and birds (including transportation in aircraft cabin, tariffs and restrictions for species and breeds of animals) is determined by airline. At booking or purchasing of ticket is required to inform airline or ticket agent that you plan flight with an animal, and mandatory to receive acknowledgement from airline.

Transportation of animals and birds can be performed:

  • In passenger cabin of the aircraft , if it is authorized by airline rules;
  • In a baggage compartment, if in this type of the aircraft ventilation and heating of a baggage compartment is provided.

In case of transportation of an animal abroad (into third countries) the veterinary certificate of an international form is drawn up. Besides, at transportation of pets in the countries of the European Union you must draw up the veterinary certificates of the European Union which are the obligatory appendix to the veterinary certificate. For this purpose the owner of an animal shall present:

  • A pet;
  • Veterinary certificate (or veterinary certificate of the Customs Union at export in the countries of the Customs Union).

The animal (bird) at transportation by aircraft should be placed in the container (cage). Containers (cages) should be in compliance with the following requirements:

  • to have sufficient size (to allow an animal to rise in full length and to turn on 360 degrees);
  • To have access of air and strong lock;
  • Bottom of the container (cage) should be waterproof and covered by an absorbing material;
  • On bottom perimeter should be a board which excludes a spillage of absorbing material;
  • Cages for birds should be covered by a dense lightproof fabric;
  • Inside a cage or container should be equipped with the place for bracing of capacities with water and dry feed for all time of flight (from surrender at airport of departure till receiving at airport of destination);

The feed should correspond to all standards of country of destination or transit country. It is forbidden to transport in the container a meat and products containing meat.

The size of the container (cage) should allow to an animal to rise in full length and to turn on 360 degrees. The height of cage height be equal to height of a standing animal (D), to width of pet (C), and length to length of a body (A) plus half of length of a paw (B).

A free baggage allowance does not apply to the animals.

The Seeing eye-dogs accompanying passengers with absence of sight/hearing, are transported free of charge over the established norm of free baggage allowance subject to the existence of proper training that is verified by the certificate. Such dog must have a collar and a muzzle; it should be tied to an armchair at feet of the owner.

Transportation conditions (availability of a cage, price for transportation etc.) you shall necessarily check at acquisition of tickets, as well as with the call-centers and the airline offices with which you plan to make travel.

Export of an animal abroad

The veterinary certificate on a state of animal health at the office of veterinary control shall be exchanged for the international veterinary certificate.

Some countries have established restrictions or an interdiction for import of some species of animals. Information can be learned from the consulate of destination country.

Import of animals from abroad

Owners of animals can import simultaneously no more than two pets (if it is authorized by airline rules) subject to the existence of the international certificates with marks that animals are apparently healthy and vaccinated. International documents are exchanged for the veterinary certificate of the Russian Federation.

Vaccination should be performed not earlier than 12 months and not later than 30 days prior to departure date.

Fytosanitary requirements at import of quarantineable products in the Russian Federation

Into the Russian Federation it is forbidden to import the plant products and soil infected with quarantineable hazardous organisms.

Importation of quarantineable plant products into the Russian Federation in the cases provided by rules and standards of securing of quarantine of plants, can be performed only with the availability of the fytosanitory certificate issued by the national plant protection organization of the country-exporter in which territory the party such quarantineable production was formed.

Importation of quarantineable products in the postal items, cabin baggage and baggage of passengers, crewmen of sea-crafts, river crafts, aircrafts, vehicles, train brigades is allowed without the fytosanitory certificate provided that the quantity of such quarantineable products does not exceed five kgs and it is not seeds (seed material), planting material or potato as well as unless concerning the country-exporter temporary restrictions are imposed.

Fytosanitary requirements in case of export of the quarantineable products from the Russian Federation

Exported from the Russia quarantineable plant products should satisfy the fytosanitary requirements provided by the international plant protection agreements. Imported quarantineable plant products should have fytosanitary certificates.

Quarantineable plant products without fail should pass inspection based on the results of which shall be issued a fytosanitory certificate.

Fytosanitary control of exported cargoes is made in places of initial shipment of these cargoes.

Each batch of quarantineable products at transportations along the territory of Russia is accompanied by the quarantine certificate (inspection and certification are carried out in state inspections on plants quarantine).
